Back at the DFCI

Another fabulous trip! We hope that your kids had a great time (it seems like they did!). Thanks for letting them join us. Thanks also to Lisa, Martha, Jen, Katie, and Nahomie for putting together an amazing weekend. Thanks to Julia and Anthony for volunteering their time and to the rest of the chaperones also! Get home safely! Lisa will be in touch with information about photos and other (more) mementos of the weekend!

And....

...we're back! See you as soon as we can!

Boarded!!

See you all back in Boston!!

Just a few more minutes...

Playing Heads-Up to pass the time before we board.

Back at the airport!

Everyone is present and accounted for (except for Dan, whom we said goodbye to at the airport). A few minutes of downtime before our 3pm flight, so everyone is making last-minute visits to the snack shop, Starbucks, bathrooms, etc.

At the airport

Wheelchair jousting, checking email, or snoozing while Lisa and Co. get all of the bags checked and tickets printed.

Sad to go!

Everyone is resisting getting back on the bus one final time. It's been an amazing weekend  and nobody wants it to end!
People are either trying to soak up every last little bit of spring training love...or they're exhausted and have fallen asleep.

Either way, it's time for a few final photos and to head out to the airport. Thanks again to the Red Sox, the JetBlue stadium staff, and our front office hosts Sarah and Catherine!!

More food!!

Honestly, it's not clear how anybody could possibly eat more. But how can you turn this spread down?

Group photo time!

Everyone was amazing out there! Honestly, pretty much everyone killed the ball. The last thing before lunch is the group photo...

"It's like herding kittens!"
But eventually everyone gets in line :)

We did it!!!

a few more ups

more BP!

This one nearly sent the blogger to the hospital!

more batting practice!

Jonny Gomes has nothing on these kids!

Batting practice

Boys vs. girls! So far, the girls are killing it!

Back on the bus!

Everybody have everything? Are you sure? No, really - are you sure???

Juan spent some time ironing his pants this morning, but appears to have forgotten a belt.
And some of us forgot to apply sunscreen as liberally and frequently as we should have. We'll do a better job today.

Rise and shine!

Sunday morning is always the hardest - kids are tired. Adults are tired. It's been such a full trip so far! But we have miles to go before we sleep, so let's get going!
Fortunately, there's a lot to look forward to - and it's another perfect day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

A couple of the chaperones letting their true colors come out in honor of St. Patty's Day...

Overload :)

Mac and cheese. Pizza. Pretzels. Popcorn. Ice cream...

...and a whole bunch of games. Amazing.

Heading home

Tough loss, despite our (Dan Wallace's) best attempts at a 9th-inning rally. But everyone had a great time and now we're back at the hotel - where Lisa and Co. have set up the next series of events! The after-party includes movies, games, and (of course) more food!

JFC on TV!!!

Reflections on the day (so far)

More reflections on an amazing day.

Some people reflect better non-verbally, of course.

Settling in

Game time!

Awesome seats, as always. Thanks Red Sox and JetBlue stadium!

And just in case anyone's hungry...

Jen shows him her tattoo, and then asks if she can pull his beard. Astonishingly, he says yes!
